Daily Devotion
Dear Friends:
The person who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
James 1:6
Doubt is something that can creep in slowly and take over. Doubt can also hit you like a ton of bricks ... One way to overcome this doubt is to "act as if" ... When you move toward the light of God you will be given all that you need. Don't let doubt have an inch in your life! Remember you can do all things through Christ!

Daily Devotion
Dear Friends:
Do not complain brothers and sisters against one another, so that you [yourselves] may not be judged. Look! The judge is [already] standing at the very door.
James 5:9 (amp)
How many times have we complained about someone else? Their lack of action, faith or concern? When we complain about others we bring judgement upon our own lives. Maybe instead of complaining we can ask God for wisdom and direction to help people who may be struggling.

I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

So often we place our happiness on the things we think we may posses. But I wonder ... do the things posses us? Learning to abound when we have little is when we tap into the power of God.

Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls ...

Do your repeat the same mistakes over and over? Hopefully Not! We can learn so much by look at the past but not reliving it. Too many live in the past and miss the rest of the days ... Are you one of those individual? If you are I encourage you to release the past and live in today!

And let us not lose Heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.

Most of the time seeking peace for situations is much harder than the alterentative. We must not grow weary in our noble actions! God is with you, so keep doing what is right even if it is difficult!

When others share their insight and experience we may realize we are not alone! The same may be true for others when you share. We can admonish each other with songs, words, worship, and other gifts God has given to us! Are you using your gifts?

Prove all things; hold fast to that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace will sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and should and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of Jesus.

Sadly I have found that people often focus on what they think is wrong with with the church, work, others, etc ... Instead of holding on to the good that is ever present. Where is your focus? Do you need a tune up spiritually? Take a few minutes today and focus on the positive things in your life ... I guarantee you there are many.

Such trust we have through Christ to God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves but our sufficiency is of God; Who has made us able ministers of the new testament not of the letter of the law, but of the Spirit: for the letter kills but the Spirit gives life.

Hebrews 4:12
Reading the word sometimes is a task ... but we have many options! Online, hand held bibles, and of course the book itself. We also have many translations that can help us understand the scriptures! I encourage you to read different versions of the Bible and you will hopefully experience the word with a new and deeper understanding.
