Daily Devotion
Dear Friends:
The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that is the word of faith which we are speaking. That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Sovereign and believe in your heart that God raise Him from the dead, you shall be saved.
Romans 10:8-9
Confession may be difficult at times but it is good for the soul ... take a moment now to confess. Allow the Spirit of God to refresh you with faith, hope and joy.

When people of faith unite together for justice and purpose, powerful and positive things can and do happen! We are called to join together one with another! If you are not part of a community of faith I encourage you to get involved! God is calling you ... and so am I...

For as high as the heavens are above the earth so great is Gods love for those who fear God. as far as the east is from the west, so far has God removed our transgressions from us.
Psalms 103:11-12
We can come to God and ask for forgiveness for those things we have done that will separate us from God. It is in this act of asking for forgiveness that we are able to receive from God.

Daily Devotion
Dear Friends:
As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trust in Christ will never be put to shame. For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile, the same God is God of all and richly blesses all call upon God.
Romans 10:11-12
This text reminds me that who ever is willing to believe and call upon God ... God hears the call and understands that there is no difference between the call of people. Gay, Straight, BI, Trans, or anything else ... Everyone who calls upon the Name of Jesus will be saved!

These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.
Hebrews 11:39-40
Hebrews 11 is considered the 'faith' chapter ... telling us how all the people did what they did by faith. The thing is God has something better planned when we exercise our faith. Are you moving in faith in your life? Or are you just going through the motions?

Int that day declares the Sovereign God, I will gather the lame; I will assemble the exiles and those I have brought to grief. I will make the lame a remnant, those driven away a strong nation.
Micah 4:6-7
Through out scripture we read how God takes the unlikely and restores the broken. I know that we may have many broken places in our lives ... but I also know God restores.

Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly]: Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks] for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and the Mediator of that will].
1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 (amp)
It is not easy to praise God when negative things happen is it? At our Study last night we read about Job and how he would not curse God and in the end God blessed him. Many times we want the blessing of a double portion but are not willing to preserve or even pray through the difficulty. I encourage you today to persever in your time of prayer and to keep giving thanks!

Daily Devotion
Dear Friends:
I have been crucified with Christ: it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, who love me and gave Himself up for me.
Galatians 2:20 (amp)
Going through trials is nothing compared to what Christ went through as he was crucified. I am reminded of Gods grace and the gifts God has given us. My prayer today is that we would all use our gifts to the fullness God intended.

Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time God may exalt you.
1 Peter 5:6
Coming with humility before God is a very powerful thing! When we learn this valuable lesson we are able to come casting our cares upon God and God lifts us up when we do!

And Jesus said to them, have you come out with swords and clubs as you would against a robber to capture Me? I was with you daily in the temple teaching and you did not seize Me; but this has happened that the Scriptures might be fulfilled.
Mark 14:48-49
During this Holy Week we read about the events that Jesus went through to the cross. I pray that we can follow the ways of His teaching, prayer and nonviolence working for justice.
Think upon the events of the Passion and remember the price that was paid for us.

Break up your uncultivated ground, for it is time to seek God, to inquire for and of God and to require Gods favor, till God comes and teaches you righteousness and rains God's righteous gift of salvation upon you.

Seek Gods favor upon your life! Live in the righteousness that God has given to you!

For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand [anywhere else]: I would rather be a doorkeeper and stand at the threshold in the house of my God than to dwell [at ease] in the tents of wickedness.
Psalm 84:10
It may be difficult at times to profess our love for Christ but it is better than the ease of following right along with the things that are unjust. God help us to come out of our spiritual closets. Because when we do You will help us bring positive change to this desperate world.

The Spirit of God came upon Jahaziel .... and he said listen you inhabitants of Jerusalem and you king Jehoshapat. The Sovereign God says this to you: Be not afraid or dismayed at the great multitude; for the battle is not your but God's.

During worship the people were encouraged! The received a word of God from God before the fact! God is with you and will deliver you as you and that is cause to worship!
