Restoration is definitely a process! I think a old table or furniture ... to restore it you will strip away of the old, sand it down to bare wood, buff it out all of this before something new is applied. Restore us God even if we may not like the process!

Daily Devotion
Dear Friends:
Submit yourselves then to God. Resist the devil and the devil will flee from you. Come near to God and God will come near to you. Wash your hands you sinners and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
James 4:7-8
We are told to resit the bad and cling to God! This is how we submit to God and Gods will by turning to God. We must clean our lives out with the pure water of the the Spirit of God! Healing is available to you! However being double minded will tear us apart you either serve God or you don't! I encourage you today to resist the devil and cling to God!

Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made know to God.

How many times has anxiety gotten the best of you? Some times we worry needlessly and have unrealistic expectations that set us up. My encouragement to you is to put your trust in God, praying and giving thanks for all you have! God is after all faithful.

Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will you not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough to complete it?
Luke 14:28
We are told to pick up our cross everyday and follow! In other words living as a disciple is not a one time thing! I trust in God knowing that we will have enough when we make our plans according to Gods will.

Jesus looked at the disciples and said, with humanity/people this is impossible but all things are possible with God.
Matthew 19:26
I know we face some difficult things in our life! I want you to remember God specializes in the impossible things! Trust and lean on the Spirit of the living God.

*Pride Weekend in Sacramento, We will be walking in the parade and I will be speaking at 12:30 or there about on the main stage. Our church will also have a booth come and visit if you are in town.

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them.
Ephesians 5:7-8
Talk is cheap! Don't let the talk of foolish things steal you away from the will of God. Some things sound really good but in reality are not! Why not partner up with God and make a difference!

I pray that out of Gods glorious riches God may strengthen you with power through the Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you being rooted and established in love may have power, together wit all the saints to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.

Daily Devotion
Dear Friends:
Get rid of all bitterness, rage, and anger, brawling and slander along with every from of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Ephesians 4:31-32
Getting rid of the bitterness, rage and anger is a process for sure! If you don't deal with it however, it will deal with you. Make peace with yourself and others and begin that process today. How you may ask?
1. Ask God to forgive you for your shortcomings and to help you share your truth in love.
2. Use Matthew 18 :15-19
3. Find a good counselor or therapist
4. Work on becoming the best you

My dear Friends; take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. For a persons anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.
James 1:19-20
We may hear things but are we listening?

I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, You are my servant; I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God.
Isaiah 41:9-10
Encouragement for sure! Look where we've been ... granted we might not be where we want to be but we aren't where we were either! Thank God for the progress in our lives! Fear can't bind us any longer because we can shine the light of God on those places and press onward!

And for this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of hands. For God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, of love and self-discipline.
2 Timothy 1:6-7
We are reminded to fan the flame of our Spiritual gifts! How do you do that? Let me suggest one way is to use your gifts. Another way is to begin to share your faith with others. God has given us the tools we need to grow up into powerful people of God! Are you growing? Are you using your gifts?

Dear Friends:
Therefore as the Holy Spirit says; Today if you will hear Gods voice ... Do not harden your hearts, as [happens] in the rebellion [of Israel] and their provocation and embitterment [of Me] in the day of testing in the wilderness.
Hebrews 3:7-8
We may struggle at times and even feel like we are in our own wilderness. It is in this struggle that God calls us to listen ... listen for the Spirit. Open your heart instead of allowing your negative thoughts to rebel and cause you to be disconnected! This disconnect brings bitterness and resentment! God is calling you back into harmony and connection with other!
Come home!
If you have been disconnected from your community of faith there is no time like the present to reconnect.

For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities, Gods eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that humanity is without excuse.
Romans 1:20
This scripture reminds me of Gods creation, nature, birds, clouds, you and I. Today I went for a walk along the river and I could see Gods creation right in front of me. The fresh scent of the over night rain, the blue sky so clear I could see the coastal range. I encourage you today to look around, just take a look at the beauty God has created!

Be eager and strive earnestly to guard and keep the harmony and oneness of [and produced by] the Spirit in the binding power of peace.
Ephesians 4:3
Saints, we are equipped with the power to strive for oneness by the Spirit! As we rise up we must do so together in peace. There is much to be done! I thank God for you and the ministry gifts you bring and use on behalf of our community.
