I was sitting in my office yesterday reflecting and praying. I realize God has brought us through so much.

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
2 Corinthians 6:14
When we put ourselves in relationships with people we must be very careful. We might want to help someone find the light of Christ and that is a good thing but we must not compromise our light when doing so.

Oh Sovereign God Our God, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
Psalm 8:1
Yesterday at service I challenged everyone to spend at least five minutes in prayer. I want to also encourage you to spend at least five minutes a day in prayer! Begin with giving praise to God! Oh God you are majestic and we glorify your name! Praise God for this day, the beauty of life, the gift of others, our homes, jobs and the ability to seek! Praise God ... Praise God.

And try to learn [in your experience] what is pleasing to God [let your lives be constant proofs of what is most acceptable to God].
Ephesians 5:10
Sometimes we learn the most from the places we've made the biggest mistakes! Hopefully we learn what we need to do or not do so we don't repeat the lesson. Is your life proof of these life lessons?

Not so shall it be among you; but whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant.

We all answer to someone or something. Our boss, our partner, our employee, our parents and God to name a few. I believe a key is given in today's scripture that if we want to do great things we must have a servants heart. In other words we are willing to serve where needed when needed. God; give us the servants heart in everything we do.

For God is not unrighteous to forget or overlook your labor and the love which you have shown for Gods name sake in ministering to the needs of the saints. (Gods own consecrated people) as you still do.
Hebrews 6:10
God is faithful in all way! Sometimes we may not get the thank you and the blessings we think we deserve but Gods thank you is eternal. Keep serving and you will soon see the blessings of which I speak.

Exercise foresight and be on the watch to look [after one another], to see that no one falls back from and fails to secure God's grace (Gods unmerited favor and spiritual blessings), in order that no root of resentment (rancor, bitterness or hatred) shoots forth and causes trouble and bitter torment and the many become contaminated and defiled by it.

Immediately when you say the word exercise you realized effort must be put forth. It may not be easy to look after others and encourage them to come back to church or get involved. It is Gods desire for us that we share in the power of community! If you have been gone from church for awhile I invite you to come back ... Gods unmerited favor awaits you!

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and passing) but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting.
1 Corinthians 4:17-18
Sometimes things are not as the appear! I hope and pray for you today to see beyond the struggle you may be in. Helping someone else is a positive way to move forward! Count your blessings.
