"Dear Friends:
Therefore as the Holy Spirit says: Today if you will hear Gods voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion [of Israel] and their provocation and embitterment [of Me] in the day of testing in the wilderness.
Hebrews 3:7-8
To hear Gods voice you must listen above your own thoughts, past, garbage, and self talk. God is always trying to get our attention but your hard heart hinders that work. What do you have a hard heart about? Partner? Work? Church? Past? ... God is speaking to us and will speak if we will listen!

Walt Disney said 'All our dreams can come true - if we have the courage to pursue them.' Courage is a funny thing when it comes to our own lives ... we may have the courage to tell a friend to hang on or to keep going but we don't do it ourselves.
It takes courage to live in Faith through Christ. Just remember that Jesus said greater things will you do in My Name! Do we have the courage to be the person God is calling us to be?

Let us therefore be zealous and exert ourselves and strive diligently to enter that rest [of God, to know and experience it for ourselves] that no one may fall or perish by the same kind of unbelief and disobedience [into which those in the wilderness fell].

The word diligently sticks out to me because being a person of faith takes diligence! It takes being obedient to God and doing what you must even when you don't 'feel' like it. We must stir our gifts up and be zealous in Christ so we don't fall into disobedience.

But the just shall live by faith [My righteous servant shall live by their convictions respecting humanity's relationship to God and divine things, and holy fervor born of faith and conjoined with it] and if the person draws back and shrinks in fear, My soul has no delight in them.

Our relationship with God and divine things is to be respected by our faith. Our faith gets us through, our faith helps us move beyond the fear, our faith is born of God and we need not shrink back from it!

But if anyone build upon the Foundation, whether it be with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, the work of each [one] will become [plainly,openly] known (shown for what it is): for the day [of Christ] will disclose and declare it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test and critically appraise the character and worth of the work each person has done.

I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Christ Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency] .

When we seek to be like Christ we realize the sufficiency of life. We can have that inner strength when things around us may be falling apart! Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests) with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.
Philippians 4:6
How many times have you let fret, anxiety or worry get the better of you? It doesn't do any good to worry or fret it just takes energy away from prayer and having a positive attitude. I believe Gods peace will surround us and will guard us as we turn our energy toward the eternal God.

It only takes a minute to send and email of encouragement, or a thinking of you card, even a text message or a phone call can encourage others. Who have you encouraged lately? I am reminded that when we need encouragement it comes back to us as we give it. I want to encourage you today so consider this your positive word for today! You are an awesome individual and I am thankful for you.

But now put away and rid yourselves [completely] of all these things; anger, rage, bad feeling toward others, curses and slander, and foulmouthed abuse and shameful utterances from your lips.
Colossians 3:8 (Amp)
It may seem easier to spew out things and hold on to anger and ill feelings about others. When we do however it limits us and stagnates us because we are held captive by these things. In reality everyone is trying to make it through the days. We may not always be at our best, we may fall short or make mistakes. But I would hope that we know that as people of faith we have the best interest of other in our hearts. I know I do ... May God bless you and keep you along this journey.

See that none of you repays another with evil for evil, but always aim to show kindness and seek to do good to one another and to everybody.
1 Thessalonians 5:15
People are not always nice! But we must seek to show kindness even in our own pain. I've heard it said that 'Hurting People Hurt People'. If you are hurting reach out to someone, talk with them, ask for help and don't expect others to know you are struggling or hurting unless you tell them!

Even Jesus understood the suffering he would experience on the cross. Yet,he was willing to be obedient at any cost. What are you willing to endure to honor your commitment to God? Are you willing to accept the cost in order to gain something of worth (eternal life) in the end?

And these orders of Gods are not irksome (burdensome, oppressive, or grievous). For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith.

Loving God and putting God first and love others is the new command Jesus gave. Victory is knocking on our door step if we could just use our faith to dispel the nay sayers! You my friend are God victory plan ... don't forget that!
